After the photo shoot, this is where the magic begins and the images truly come alive. We use a variety of tools for retouching and editing, and a unique combination of programs and techniques to create the texture, color, and mood in our photographs. My photos tend to be rich and textural.
To us, each photo is a piece of art unto itself. Because of this, we take the time to retouch each photo individually, making certain every image is perfect.

Booking
You reach out about booking a session to ask questions about locations, rates, etc. I book both your photo shoot session and consultation. I schedule the consultation early enough that we can properly prepare, but close enough to the session that everything stays nice and fresh in your mind.
Consultation
We will discuss everything from your goal for the photographs, the location and the date of your photoshoot, your wardrobe and styling, how your photographs will be printed and hung, and all the other details. It’s essential to consider what you are wearing, and how it will fit you when you pose. It is important to me to create high-quality photos that you love!
Mood Board
After the consultation, I email you a personalized consultation packet that includes all the details we discussed along with a custom mood board. This ensures we are on the same page before the session begins, and you feel comfortable and well-informed. Then on photoshoot day, all you need to focus on is relaxing, listening to me as I guide you through your session, and having fun.
The mood board will include everything from posing to color to subject matter. Everyone tends to be really excited by this point!
Photoshoot
The photoshoot! I am efficient and intentional, but I do not rush. My sessions run about an hour. I show you a pose and you simply mirror my pose, then we make fine adjustments. I take my time to make sure the light, pose, and expression are exactly right.
I understand your fears of being in front of the camera, feeling awkward, not knowing what to do with your hands, etc. My easy and gentle way of guiding you will put you at ease. I will keep you out of that nervous and awkward frame of mind! When you relax, it’s clear in your confident expressions and creates a better connection with the camera.
As I guide clients through the session, I see them relax and see themselves in a new way. Many clients say they have never had a photoshoot like they had with me. My background and education give me a unique perspective that other photographers simply do not have.
